They say it’s the height of vanity to go reading through your old bike reviews, but I couldn’t help but go searching for the last time I rode a Wilier, and it was a whole nine years ago. Deep tube profiles, aggressive riding positions, and bold, watt-saving claims dominate the performance road bike market. As much as I am not a fan of through-headset routing, in the seven months I spent on the bike, I encountered no issues with the headset that would have required stripping down the front end. Considering a decent portion of this was through a British winter, the durability of the headset is commendable, and it lessens my negative feelings towards the hose routing. · Subscribe now · Already have an account? It might be a race bike, but with 34 mm tyre clearance (36 mm with SRAM groupsets), it is also a versatile option for those with less-than-perfect roads around them. Good stuff: Climbs like a dream.Acceleration on flats and climbs feels noticeably snappy. Well-considered build kits with some well-priced options. Bad stuff: Schwalbe Aerothan tyres took the weight savings too far and added compatibility confusion. Fragile computer mount that broke on Suvi’s test bike.

The cars and people are all super aware of cyclists which makes biking through this city super fun and safe. I think the city proper has over 200km of paths including the Trail of Remembrance encircling the city. The bike: I opted for the Trek FX 2 (hybrid, non-electric).
